Veggie Tofu Stir-Fry Recipe

 

Tofu Stir-fry

This Vegetable Stir Fry is made with Tofu, sautéed broccoli and colorful bell peppers. My favorite way to cook Tofu is almost grilling it up just right by putting a very few drops of oil on a skillet and stir until it gets golden. Then mixing  it up with the sautéed vegetables. This is a quick and healthy recipe that besides it taste amazing, it is a great alternative for meat.  


Ingredients

1 Tbsp. sesame oil

Ginger, grated

Garlic, minced

1 onion,  chopped

1 Cup colorful bell peppers, chopped

1 Medium head of broccoli, chopped

1 Pack of Firm Tofu (350 g)

3 Green onions

2 Tbsp. Soy sauce

1 Tbsp. White vinegar

1 Tbsp. Honey

Salt to taste

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp hot pepper

3 tbsp. corn starch


Directions

Place the Tofu in kitchen paper towel and squeeze any excess water. Then, cut it into cubes. Transfer the cubes into a bowel, add salt, black pepper, corn starch and mix everything up.

Get a skillet and sprinkle just few drops of vegetable oil. Proceed with cooking the Tofu cubes on medium-high heat until you get a nice golden color. Make sure to  flip the Tofu cubes over to cook on all sides.

Get another skillet with vegetable oil over medium heat. Add ginger , garlic, onions, green onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Add broccoli and the colorful bell peppers and continue stir-fry them until vegetables are just tender but not well cooked. Add, salt, hot pepper,  white vinegar ,soy sauce, sesame oil, honey , Tofu and keep on stirring for a short while then remove from heat and serve immediately.
